Ellie's Big Girl Room

We've been working the past couple of weeks on getting Ellie's "Big Girl Room" together. We finally found the bedding at Target and Ellie picked out the paint color. Daddy got the painting done last week. Nana Donna and Papa Ron had an extra shorter bed frame so we swapped that and took the taller antique frame we had to Nana & Papa's for storage. We got her "big girl bed" all set up Friday night. Elle absolutely loves her "big girl room" but it's more play for her right now than anything. I asked her if she wanted to nap in her big girl bed yesterday and she said yes but when it came right down to it, she wanted her crib. So we took her crib apart and moved it into her new room today. She is actually napping in there right now. We'll give it some time for adjustment and let her come to it on her own as to when she wants to sleep in her new bed. I've still got some work to do. I need get some things up on the walls and she definitely needs a rug on the hardwood floor. It still looks pretty bare in there. It will be a work in progress for a little while. I'll post more pictures of the whole room when we're completely finished.

Here's Miss Elle on her brand new "big girl bed". Her Nana Donna and Papa Ron bought her the matching body pillow. She loves it!
