Our New Kitchen

We started the demo of our old kitchen on Sept. 11th, 2006. Dave just put the finishing trim on yesterday. What a project! It seemed to take forever! It was worth the wait. Dave did an amazing job and our new kitchen is gorgeous. Anyone that has seen it says it looks like a whole new house. Here are a couple of pics to share...

This is a view of the old kitchen. To give you some points of reference, the window is in the same place in the new kitchen. There is a wall to the right of this shot that is no longer in the new kitchen. The door on the left is the door to the garage.

This is the view of the kitchen from the door to the garage. You are looking through where the wall between the old kitchen and dining room used to be.

This is an up close view of the new kitchen. It is basically taken in the same place I was standing in the old kitchen shot, without the wall now.

For those of you that know the way house looks, this is the view of the new kitchen from our stairs.

So that's it! Our new, wonderful kitchen! We love it so much! It's amazing the difference! Dave and I can both work in the kitchen without getting into each other's way. We especially love the island cabinet. That's where we work the most. Elle loves to sit up on the island counter top and help us when we're preparing food. She especially loves to help me bake cookies!
