Ellie's New School: Barlina House

Ellie started her new preschool on September 2nd. This is her 2nd year in preschool. She will go to preschool for 3 years because she has a late birthday and will miss the cut off for kindergarten next year. She now goes to Barlina House which is run through the Crystal Lake Park District. She goes on Tuesday and Thursday mornings from 9-11:30. This is a whole hour longer than last year. What will I do with all my extra time? LOL!!! She is in the small 3 year old classroom. There are only a maximum of 8 kids in her class. This is just perfect for Elle who tends to be a slow starter when it comes to new situations. Here are a few pictures of her Open House on Sept. 2nd and her first day of school on Sept. 4th. Mommy was able to go with her on both these days. She started going on her own on Sept. 9th.

Elle and Molly going down the slide outside on the playground.

Elle hanging out in the tunnel on the playground.

Elle's neighbor buddy, Ethan, is in her class too. It helped a lot to have a familar face at her new school.

Elle with her teacher, Mrs. Pat. They are playing with play-doh. This is one of Elle's favorite things to do.

Mrs. Pat and the class are singing a silly song.

Here is Elle eating a snack of crackers, cheese and apple juice.

This is Elle's teacher, Mrs. Mallon, talking with the kids during snack.

Time to go home. Elle's class lines up on the green line on the floor to get ready to go home.

On a side note, Elle's teacher, Mrs. Mallon, told me just last Thursday, Sept. 19th, that she was very talkative and sang songs for the first time. She finally got to see the true Ellie. That will tell you how long it take for Miss Ellie to warm up.

This has nothing to do with Elle's school. It's just a cute picture of her sleeping on the couch last week. She was watching a movie and snuggled herself so comfy that she fell asleep. She slept for about 2 hours like this. She's like her mommy and likes her ear to be covered with the blanket. Too cute!

This picture was just taken about 10 minutes ago by our neighbor. Ellie needed a family picture for school and we didn't have any with Trooper in it. Talk about getting the latest and greatest. Oh, and GO CUBS!!!
